Skydiving FAQs

Is there a minimum age requirement to skydive?

Yes, you must legally be 18 years of age or older to skydive in the United States. Our apologies, but there are no exceptions to this rule. Even if parents give parental consent for minors to skydive, it is still not permitted. Skydive Tecumseh requires government-issued photo identification (generally a driver’s license or passport) to participate in skydiving activities.

Is there a weight limit to skydiving?

All guests cannot weigh more than 230 lbs. This weight should factor into clothes and shoes. Guests should be height/weight proportionate. Weight restrictions are established by manufacturers’ equipment restrictions. Please note, we do weigh all guests prior to jumping to ensure weight requirements are met.

What clothing should I wear to make a tandem skydive?

Wear comfortable clothing that suits the weather. It is very important that your clothing not be overly loose or baggy. Avoid shirts with collars and hoods, or any other parts that may flap around. Avoid tank tops. Wear tennis shoes that lace up. No open-toed shoes, sandals, boots, or other shoes with hooks. Do not wear any loose jewelry or anything you wouldn’t wish to lose.

Should I make a tandem skydive or skydive solo?

There is no right answer here.  It’s a matter of personal preference

nice.  If you want to just experience freefall for the first time with an instructor responsible for providing the stability, opening the parachute, and flying back to the airport for a safe landing, then make a tandem skydive.  If you are really excited about doing all of these things yourself, then join the AFF program.  After ground school, you will make your first skydive with two instructors by your side to help, but you will have the opportunity to do all of these things for yourself.

Do I have to make a tandem skydive before doing a solo skydive?

Absolutely not.

What am I waiting for?
We have no idea. Book AFF Ground School or a Tandem Skydive today!
